Location: Ft. Myers, FL (Projects spanning Sarasota to Naples – 2-hour travel radius)
Salary: High $20s to $30s/hour (DOE) + On-call pay + Overtime (port to port)

Must-Haves:
- • 5+ years of fire alarm and low voltage installation/service experience
- • Experience with EST, Notifier, Honeywell, Simplex, or Siemens panels
- • Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR (no felonies or driving incidents)
- • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights/on ladders
- • Willing to join an on-call rotation (1 week every 2 months)
- • Strong troubleshooting skills and customer service mindset

Job Summary:
We are hiring a skilled Fire Alarm & Low Voltage Service Technician based in Ft. Myers, FL. This role will support a variety of commercial projects from Sarasota to Naples, including an airport expansion and a $5M assisted living facility. The technician will handle fire alarms, access control, CCTV, and nurse call systems, with a focus on delivering high-quality service and system compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- • Install, service, program, and inspect commercial fire alarm and low voltage systems
- • Troubleshoot system faults and malfunctions quickly and effectively
- • Perform routine maintenance and ensure systems meet NFPA, state, and local codes
- • Work with clients and team members to deliver safe, code-compliant installations
- • Document service calls, repairs, inspections, and reports accurately
- • Train clients on fire alarm and security system use
- • Participate in rotating on-call schedule (once every 2 months)
- • Stay up to date with current industry standards, tech, and regulations
Qualifications:
- • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications preferred)
- • Minimum 5 years of experience in fire alarm and low voltage work
- • Experience with EST systems highly preferred
- • Knowledge of fire codes, safety standards, and electrical schematics
- • Able to interpret blueprints and technical manuals
- • Professional demeanor with strong customer service skills
- • No license required – but must meet physical and driving standards
- • Must pass a background check, drug screening, and MVR review
Physical Requirements:
- • Able to lift 50 lbs
- • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- • Frequent use of ladders, scaffolding, and lifts
