MAINTENANCE - INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN

Job Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada 

Wage: $42.81/hour (Ticketed) + $2.00/hour night shift premium (if applicable) 

Shift: Night – Continental (10 – 12-hour shifts

Please note that we are specifically looking for candidates who has an Industrial Electrician License, not just those with a construction background. We also require experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Candidates with only construction electrician experience will not be suitable, but a combination of industrial and construction will be okay.

This is a unionized role with the following details:

  • Pay rate: $42.81/hr
  • Night shift premium:      Additional $2.00/hr between 9 pm – 6 am
  • Shift schedule:      Overnight shifts from 6 pm – 6 am, 3 to 4 nights per week, including one      weekend
  • Extra premium for PLC      technicians
  • $600 annual tool      allowance
  • Relocation allowance:      $1,000 - $1,500 for candidates from outside the province

Job description

The Senior Cost Accountant will play a critical role in evaluating inventory costs and ensuring financial accuracy. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for developing precise cost calculations and templates for audit and business planning purposes. You will work closely with the production, shipping, and receiving teams to ensure inventory accuracy and support the company’s financial reporting goals.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Conduct inventory evaluations at month-end, quarter-end, and      year-end.
  • Maintain accurate records of supply inventory and ensure      correct valuation.
  • Collaborate with production, shipping, and receiving teams to      streamline cost tracking.
  • Perform frequent inventory counts to verify accuracy.
  • Assist IT and company leadership in completing the inventory      module in the ERP system.
  • Provide financial reporting and cost analysis, primarily      focused on inventory valuation.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • 2+ years of      experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or seafood      industry.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Your Responsibilities

As Millwright, your main responsibility is to eliminate downtime of production and delivery so that Aero Trading can continue to grow and delight our customers. You will do this by:

  • Installing and repairing all production, utility, and      processing equipment
  • Supporting our Operating Engineers in performing regular      preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Including repairs and maintenance of machinery such as:
  • Ice machines
  • Freezer systems
  • Fish unloading and delivery systems
  • Dock cranes
  • Cooled production areas
  • Installing and training plant staff on all new equipment
  • Performing and documenting regular equipment inspections
  • Welding and fabricating custom parts
  • Collaborating with Operating Engineers to ensure machinery is      in working order
  • Some overtime on short notice may be required

Your Qualifications

  • BC Trade qualification as a Millwright (you are certified in      British Columbia)
  • Experience working with plant pressure equipment such as      boilers, cooling systems, and refrigeration

  • Experience and knowledge of general plant maintenance in a food      processing environment is an asset
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed (i.e., Monday to Friday      / Tuesday to Saturday)
